Here's a very nice Smith & Wesson "Model of 1950 .44 Target", also known as the "Pre-Model 24". Built on the big square-butt N-frame with five screws, this revolver chambers the .44 S&W Special cartridge.
There are no cracks or chips. The mechanics are in good working order with proper timing and good lock-up. The bore is also excellent...bright with sharp rifling. About 5000 Pre-Model 24 revolvers were produced between 1950-1957 making them somewhat uncommon. The serial number places this good looking example in about 1953 production.
