Mauser K98k byf44 WWII GERMAN RIFLE 8mm Mauser

Here's a super nice example of the classic WWII German battle rifle. Manufactured by Mauser (Oberndorf), the receiver ring is maker coded "byf" and dated "44". Produced in the late summer of 1944, it has many of the wartime expediencies already incorporated, including several stamped components (trigger guard, floor plate, barrel bands, etc). The stock and handguard are laminated, as expected.
All serial numbered components are properly matching and this rifle appears completely original and possibly unissued. It has a fair amount of old grease inside and in the various nooks and crannies (I'm leaving it for the new owner to clean or keep as-is).
The mechanics appear to be in perfect working order and the bore is excellent/as new...mirror bright with sharp rifling! This is a good one folks! If you've always wanted a really clean WWII K98k for your collection then you should seriously consider this Mauser!
