Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager Camera Monocular
Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager is designed for 24/7 detection and observation even when other optical devices (such as binoculars spotting scopes and night vision devices) are impeded by weather conditions such as fog rain and smoke or light foliage. There are six models in the Quantum S Series – the Pulsar Quantum HD50s thermal imager HD38S and the HD19S and the LD50S LD38S and LD19S. There are only two differences between the models that begin with ‘H’ and ‘L’; the ‘H’ series have a 30 Hz refresh rate with a black bodyshell the L models have a 9 Hz refresh rate with a green bodyshell. The 9Hz refresh rate means all ‘L’ models can be exported without an export licence to non-embargoed countries. The Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager contains the following features: • Battery life up to 5.5 hours from four AA batteries • Quick start-up – being ready to use just 10 seconds after switching on. • An innovative germanium lens design makes the Quantum S Series both lighter and cheaper than many of its competitors • Each of the models has three calibration modes: Silent Manual (“M”) Automatic (“A”) and Semi-Automatic (“H”). Manual calibration mode (“M”) is recommended for hunting due to its silent operation • There are three modes of operation; City Forest and Identification where the contrast and brightness is automatically adjusted to the scene • The Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager now features a 2x digital zoom • Compatible with external recording devices and battery packs The Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager boasts impressive viewing ranges with man sized detection specified as: • 1250m for the new Pulsar Quantum HD50S thermal imager or LD50S which has 2.8x magnification. • 950m for the HD38S/LD38S which has 2.1x magnification. • 500m for the HD19S/LD19S which has 1.1x magnification. Regardless of the model the image quality is good across the field of view with no edge distortion or tunnel effect. The units work on both standard AA batteries and external power supplies such as the EPS3 and EPS5 Battery Packs. The Pulsar Quantum HD50s Thermal Imager will start up quickly being ready to use just 10 seconds after switching on.
