Mechanically, the pistol appears to be in perfect working order, including the safety/decocker. The bore rates about "very good" with sharp rifling that is mostly bright but does have some light frost (still perfectly shootable).
As already noted, one of the magazines is factory original and is serial numbered to the pistol. It has the correct two E/359 acceptance stamps along the spine and E/359 accepted small parts (marked internally).
Overall, a solid example of the early wartime Walther P.38 with the desirable high polish finish and matching mag.
