Here's a FN/Browning Model 1922 that was manufactured for the German military during WWII. Early in the war, German invaded Belgium and took over production at the FN factory. This pistol was manufactured early during the occupation and was probably produced in late 1940 or early 1941. The slide, frame and barrel all carry the early Eagle/WaA613 German military acceptance markings which only appeared on about the first 5000 of the approximately 360,000 Model 1922's produced during the German occupation.
The mechanics are in good working order and the pistol has an excellent mirror bright bore. It comes with two FN-marked magazines which are in good condition although one does have a shallow dent low down on the body. Also included is the original holster which is in very good condition. The holster is dated "41", Eagle/WaA866 German Army accepted, and maker code marked "clg" for Ernest Melzig, Lederwaren located in Liegritz.
