Colt 1911 EARLY 1ST YEAR GUN .45 ACP

Here's a real piece of U.S. Military history! This is a very early Colt "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" .45 automatic pistol. The serial number of this gem is 2129 and the finish is completely original. This pistol has what Colt collectors refer to as the early "high polish" blue finish. Only the earliest 1911's had this very deep almost black finish that was so reflective that is was nearly mirror-like. Overall condition is quite good.
This pistol is in perfect working order with everything functioning as it should. Even the bore is very good (that's fairly rare on these early pistols) and is bright with strong rifling.
