Here is an extraordinary single shot boxlock rifle by Chapuis Armes of France. It is chambered in the excellent 7x65r. The barrel is 60cm (23.6") with an excellent bore. It has a full-length integral rib with open sights and claw-mount bases. A Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6 scope with German #4 reticle is mounted. The scope has excellent optics. The rifle has a scalloped, bolstered action that features full coverage acanthus scroll engraving, along with a roe buck. The fore-end latch, trigger-guard and grip cap are engraved as well. The engraving is signed by Jean Marie Smets of Belgium, considered to be among the very best engravers of Europe. The rifle has a set trigger, and a tang safety. There is a rolled-edge trigger-guard. The schnabel fore-end has a latch release. The pistol-grip stock is of highly figured French walnut. It has a few minor scratches and light marks.
The length of pull (to the front trigger) is 14 7/8". The rifle weighs 6 lbs 8 oz unscoped, and 7 lbs 12 oz with the scope mounted. It comes in its maker's case. You won't be disappointed with this rifle.
