This M91/38 was made by Gardone V.T. in 1941. “Gardone V.T.” is stamped over the chamber, as well as the rifle’s serial number, RO2292, and “941-XIX.” This is a double date stamp: 941 for 1941 and XIX for the 19th year of the Fascist Era in Italy.
There is a cartouche stamped on the rifle stock with "41" for 1941. Matching RO2292 serial numbers are stamped on the stock and on the bolt handle. As can be seen in the photos, the rifle is in great condition.
The barrel bore looks clean and shiny.
