Thompson Center Arms Patriot Percussion Target Pistol .36 Cal

Scarce .36 Caliber Thompson Center Arms Patriot Percussion Target Pistol, .36 Cal, mfg. circa mid 1980's. Production of Thompson's popular “Patriot” pistol abruptly ceased in 1996 when a fire at the factory destroyed the model's tooling. The overwhelming majority of these pistols were produced in .45 caliber yet a small number were made in .36. Overall this pistol remains in near excellent condition. Barrel retains bright bluing with some extremely faint freckling just beginning to form along the right side. Engraved case hardened lock with brass furniture which is turning a goldenrod color with age. The stock is nearly perfect with just one tiny handling mark I can see. Original globe front sight with adjustable rear and original brass capped wood ramrod.
Action and double set triggers are crisp and function perfectly. Clean original nipple. Excellent bore with bright sharp rifling.
