Beautiful Antique black powder Belgian proofed boot or purse gun from the 1800’s.Highly engraved, perfect rifled bore, all mechanicals work. Trigger drops down from gun when hammer is pulled back. Butt of gun has a spring assisted silver scallop shell percussion cap storage compartment. Beautiful English walnut stock. Barrel is marked with a crown over an F. & barrel is designed to be screwed off for cleaning.
Bore measures .400 thousands which I believe makes it a 40 caliber fire arm but not 100% sure.
All parts of this gun would have been cast, barrel is not Damascus, it is engraved. Gun measures 8 ¼ inch in length & 4 inches from top of hammer to grip bottom
