Sheffield Rifle Club

The club now shoots at Thorpe Cloud Range near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. The club has members from Sheffield, Derbyshire and Nottingham and is actively looking to increase its membership. The main shooting discipline is target rifle shooting typically with 7.62mm or 5.56mm bolt-action rifles at both short range (200 - 600yds) and long range (800 - 1000yds). Metallic as opposed to optical rifle sights are used. There are many scratch and handicap competitions to compete in, with a wonderful collection of silver trophies presented annual at the prize giving dinner.
