Winchester Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine Circa 1881

Winchester Modell 1866 Yellow Boy saddle ring carbine in .44 Rimfire caliber. This antique carbine is in overall very good antique condition with 98% original parts; the rear sight is not correct for this gun.
The wood is very good with original finish, some minor dings here and there but no cracks or major chips. The brass receiver has a pleasant patina and some light dings. The 20 inch barrel and all blued metal parts have a light coat of rust and the finish has turned a brownish grey with light freckling of the metal. The bore is dark with light pitting but the rifling is still very strong. Mechanically the gun is in excellent condition and all stamps and marks are legible. According to the serial number this carbine is circa 1881.
