ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE RIFLE WITH CLEANING ROD.
Winchester First Model 1879 USN Hotchkiss rifle. Serial number 2489. Winchester marking on left side of receiver, US acceptance marks on top of barrel "W.WK/US/[anchor]/V P [eagle]". Metal parts have a plumb patina overall with scattered dings from handling. Stock is very good with a lightly refinished appearance overall.
