Winchester Model 1886 rifle – 26 inch octagon barrel – serial number 45604 manufactured 1890 – antique.
action and lockup is smooth and tight – nice, even patina finish – receiver and wood not drilled, no extra holes – 1890 Wow! over 120 years old, I sure would like to know where all it’s been and done – came out of an older gentleman’s collection – 1886’s manufactured 1886 to 1935 but only 159,990 produced, not a lot and very seldom seen for sale and this one has the harder to find octagon barrel – normal wear you would expect of a firearm of this age.
