This is not new in the box. You will notice bright spots on the pictures this is from the flash of the camera -example the metal shows as "silver"" when it is blue/brown or the stock has a bright spot. The stock looks good, the forearm also the finish looks to me to be original. The fit of the wood to the metal is good.. The metal finish is consistent with the age and displays bluing mixed with the aging patina. The barrel has a lining in it but still in the 32-20 caliber. The mechanics are working well with loading and ejecting. The sights look correct for the period - nice looking buck horn for a rear sight - surprised to find one that has not been filed down.
