This is a Vintage J. Stevens Offhand No. 35 Pistol. The Offhand No. 35 (Not illus.) was made from 1923-1942 with a total quantity manufactured recorded at 43,357. It's identical to the Offhand Target No. 35, other than different barrel markings. This one features an 8"-part round/part octagon barrel with “J STEVENS ARMS CO. CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. USA.” on the left side of the octagonal portion of the barrel. It's chambered in .22 LR and has plain walnut grips with a wide, weighted and flared butt cap. This pistol is in great condition considering its era. It shows normal signs of use, wear, and patina and is sure to be an excellent addition to any collection.
