This Veteran spur trigger revolver, produced by the Norwich Pistol Co., is an excellent example of the "Saturday Night Specials" or "Suicide Specials" popular during the late 19th century. Manufactured between 1875 and 1887, these small, inexpensive revolvers were marketed under various trade names, including the "Veteran," and were designed for personal defense.
The action functions correctly, with the hammer locking securely at full cock and the cylinder indexing properly.
The bore is gray with visible rifling. There is light erosion consistent with age and use, rating 6/10.
