Very Rare Otis A. Smith (SMITH'S PATERN) Pocket revolver

Condition: 3” round barrel has a nice bore with some spot pitting from black powder use and still showing strong rifling.
The metal finish still retains much of the original nickel with some minor handling marks.
The original walnut grips are in excellent condition.
Top of the barrel is marked "SMITH'S PATENT APRIL.15.1873” on the top strap. All marking are clear and legible.
The action works very good with a strong hammer spring , good timing and lock-up. This gun is unique with a spring loaded cylinder pin under the barrel that you pull forward to release the cylinder.
The current condition of the item listed has been described to the best of my ability .
