CAST-STEEL.
Condition: 5 ½” .32cal half round, half octagon, heavy barrel with a nice clean oxidized bore , minor pitting throughout and still showing nice rifling. The metal surface Is in very good condition with some small stains from oxidation and a few handling marks. The brass trim on the handle is in very good condition showing some minor handling marks. . Nice engraving on the top of the receiver. All marking are clear legible The smooth walnut factory grips fit the frame well with just minor handling marks. . The pistol appears to function well mechanically with a strong hammer spring.
The pistol is in remarkable condition for a pistol 187 years old . As a collector's piece, this .32 caliber Hale Underhammer pistol holds historical significance due to its association in American firearms history and its representation of mid-19th-century firearm design and innovation.
