Bore Condition: The bore is dark. There is erosion and pitting in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 0/10.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 2% of its metal finish. Most of the finish has been lost to time. There is heavy exterior erosion and rust. The engraving is still detailed. This pistol could clean up very well. This pistol rates in Fair overall condition.
Mechanics: The action does function properly.
Our Assessment: This gun is certainly an interesting specimen. It appears to be some sort of “trade gun,” a term used to denote muzzleloaders sold to tourists in Middle-Eastern and South Asian countries. This is an interesting blunderbus that should prove a fun addition to any collection. Good luck
