This is an antique Tranter Patent single-action revolver. This 7-shot revolver was designed by William Tranter in the late 1800’s for the European .230 rimfire blackpowder cartridge and features fancy scroll-work on the brass frame, a knurled steel cylinder, a 2½” octagonal barrel, an unguarded spur trigger, and steel loading gate.
The hammer, trigger, loading gate and takedown rod retaining lever all work properly with strong springs. The cylinder advance does not operate, and the hand is not visible when cocking the hammer, and we are selling this "AS-IS" in need of repair. The cylinder can be advanced by hand while cocking and locks into place at full cock.
The grip panels are complete and uncracked. A rare and interesting collectible.
This is an antique and does not require shipment to a dealer.
However, his is restricted to adults 21 and older.
