Thompson Center T/C Hawken FIRST YEAR 1970 PRE-SERIAL 45cal Case Color RARE

Up for sale is a VERY RARE and PRE-SERIAL Production EARLY T/C Hawken Percussion in the much rarer 45cal with a VERY early Douglas barrel. Has 28" barrel, very good but not perfect bore, and everything works perfectly and tightly. Missing top eyelet for ramrod and ramrod is original early type but warped slightly…with an eyelet replacement it will be perfectly usable. Gun is fully functional with good finish everywhere and some wear from age. This is a FIRST YEAR gun! IT even has a lot of features cut by the serialized production run. Such as:

-Different barrel text, font, and text size (not on production guns)
-Case colored trigger guard (1st year ONLY)
-Thinner stock wrist (Limited to only very early guns)
-Toe on stock to protect toe (not on production guns)
-Inlet lock screw escutcheon and wedge plates
-Hand peened wedge (not on production guns)
