Thompson Center Arms .45 Cal Percussion Hawken Rifle

Thompson Center Arms Percussion Hawken Rifle, .45 Cal, mfg. circa 1980's. This is a nice looking older Hawken rifle with a rough bore. Maybe it would clean up a bit and still shoot but I think it's a better candidate to be either re-bored to a larger caliber or rebarreled. At minimum it's a good start for a custom project. Octagon barrel measures 29" long fitted with it's original large blade front sight and fully adjustable rear. It retains most of it's original bluing.
. Original brass tipped wood ramrod. Action and double set triggers are crisp and function properly. Clean original nipple with light surface oxidation formed on the bolster. Great bore with rust pitting visible at the muzzle and presumably throughout. Great start for a custom rifle build!
