Up for sale is an antique Swiss Vetterli 1869/71 rifle in 10.4x38 (.41) Swiss Rimfire. On the left side of the receiver is “98158” “SOC.IND.SUISSE” the Swiss Cross and “SYST. Vetterlin”. The wooden stock has no cracks with several cartouches. The wooden handguard appears to have been cut down and does not go to the end of the barrel. The bore is dark with well-defined rifling. The barrel length is 33-inches.
