This is a Smith & Wesson Model 1 3rd Issue in .22 short. This black powder revolver was made between 1868-1881 and features a bird’s head grip, spur trigger, ribbed 3¼” barrel, and a seven-shot cylinder. It is in nice condition with the finish worn to a slight brownish patina as shown, with no rust or pitting on the outside. The mechanism works flawlessly but the lockup is slightly loose. The bore and chamber have some pitting, but the rifling is strong.
This is an antique arm. No licence is necessary.
