Antique Steyr Mannlicher Model 1887 single shot rifle in 8X50MMR. Made circa late 1880s. This gun was given to Turkey circa WW1, where it was converted to 8X50MMR. Barrels were also shortened to 21" and the action converted to single shot only. Blade front sight was removed, in favor of a pin. U-notch rear sight. Arsenal blued finish with an oiled wood stock finish. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with general wear and brown patina. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. There are arsenal repairs at the toe and on the comb. Bore has a frosted surface. Strong rifling retained. Very scarce and unique rifle for your collection.
