£ 517.00Southern Mountain Rifle,45 caliber Percussion - For Sale
This rifle was all hand made and hand carved.It originally had all iron furniture.It was carved to be used without a butt plate. It has an added brass nose cap and one brass thimble.these were added when it was converted from flint and the barrel was shortened. The barrel was probably re-rifled at that time. It is unsigned, but the cherry stock points to Virginia.A fine piece at a fair price!
