Smith & Wesson No. 2 Old Model Army Revolver, Nickel Plated, .32 RF, mfg. circa 1865/1866 with 6" barrel.
Overall the pistol retains approximately 20% original nickel finish with the balance worn to silver and some faint polishing swirls marks on the frame sides. Sharp edges with some scattered fine pinprick pitting. Original Rosewood grips are numbered to the gun and fit perfect with no chips or cracks and show about 70% factory varnish remaining. Clear Smith & Wesson address and cylinder patent dates with serial number “48844” stamped on but and matching assembly number “688” stamped on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Original hammer, spur trigger, screws, cartridge extractor rod, and blade front sight. Action is crisp and functions perfectly. Very good bore with bright sharp rifling
