Here is a good example of the famous Smith & Wesson Model No 1 7 shot tip up single action revolver. This model was Smith & Wesson's first successful firearm and this particular example was manufactured right after the Civil War. It is in good to very good condition for an antique. The barrel measures about 3 1/8" and the bore looks good - some shine, strong rifling along with the typical frost. The action works well and everything locks up tight. The barrel and cylinder were lightly cleaned but the Smith & Wesson address is very clear. The original walnut grips are in nice shape and the brass frame has decent traces of the original nickel plating. This good representative example is priced right so don't miss out.
