Up for sale is a Sharps 3rd model 1869? Saddle Ring Carbine with a 22" barrel. Please see photos of patent dates and information as seen on the rifle. The metal finish is a dark brown patina with scattered surface rust and some light pitting around the hammer. The stock has been refinished at some point in time, there appears to be a crack on the right side at the rear of the top tang. Other handling marks and dings also noted under the varnish. The action functions properly. Serial # C,9451.
