Original Antique New Model Army (made 1863-1875) factory converted under Rollin whites patten marked on the cylinder "Patented April 3rd 1855". I believe these were converted in 1870 to 46RF. As noted in Flaydermans this one was converted without the ejector rod. The serial number under the barrel is 9862. The Remington address and patent dates are visible on top of the 8 inch barrel. The overall condition is good with the metal having a smooth grey brown appearance with a little scattered light pitting. The wood grips are in good condition. The action is crisp and strong and it functions well mechanically. The brass trigger guard is in good condition with a light brown patina.
Overall a nice functioning old Remington cartridge revolver.
