Rare Model 1896 US Navy Flare / Signal Pistol - Spanish American War

This is a Rare US Martial marked Spanish American War Navy Signal Pistol. Model1896, manufactured in 1898. It is used, yet Antique Excellent Condition.
Marked on the right side of the frame. “ Ord. Dep. W. N. Y. 1898 anchor E.C.P. ” which stands for Ordinance Dept. Washington Navy Yard 1898, E.C.P is an inspectors mark.

This Rare Pistol is in Excellent Condition. Most of the factory original high polish blue on the barrel, Bore shiny, a little dusty and dirty near muzzle, will clean to Excellent. Factory Original Grips better than any

others I have seen on a Model 96, Functions Flawlessly. A centerpiece for any Spanish American War Collection or Signal Gun Collection.
