Fabrique Nationale Side by Side shotgun. Chambered for 16 gauge shells. These were a fairly rare product made to fill a hole in FN's produce lineup, with less than 3000 made from the early 1900s to about 1940. This is a largely unadorned model fitted out with two cylinder bores in 16 inch barrels.
Condition is good to very good antique. Bluing and finishes remain strong across the shotgun with some light patina but no crusting rust or serious discoloration. Wood surfaces are strong with minimal damage and retain strong color. Lockup is good with no perceptible wiggle between receiver and barrels. Hammers and triggers work properly and engage securely. Serial numbers on barrel and receiver match. An uncommon and interesting piece of firearms history.
