The Hopkins & Allen Ranger .32rf long is a single action spur trigger revolver that was part of the Series 1 collection, which was produced between 1876 and 1900. This particular model was probably produced in the first few years of production. 1879-80 serial number 3695

Condition: 2 3/4” .32 RF round barrel with a good bore showing areas of light oxidation and very good rifling. The metal surface of the revolver appears to retain most of the original nickel finish with some freckling, minor scratches and handling marks. Some minor pin-prick pitting probably from storage. But still a nice looking revolver for it's age. The barrel markings are clear and legible. The factory walnut grips remain in excellent condition with very slight handling marks.
The action of the revolver functions well mechanically. Hammer holds in half and full-cock position. Cylinder has very tight lock-up and very good timing. The cylinder pin can be removed with a slot screwdriver turning clockwise to remove and counter clockwise to reinstall.

Overall, this Hopkins & Allen Dictator .32 long revolver is a good example of a rare and historically significant firearm from the late 19th century.
