COLT 1895 DA ARMY NAVY 38 REVOLVER f Civilian model, six shot double action. No visible military stamps or inspector marks but does have military type walnut grips. Last patent date on barrel is 95. Gun was a standard blue finish. Matching number on frame and barrel. CONDITION. Good. Metal is all brown patina. Two line barrel address is visible. Gun indexes. Bore is sharp. Barrel has 1895 patent date but serial number dates to 1892. Best guess, this gun was assembled after 1895 but they used an older frame when built, very common as factory did not care about such things.
