RARE 1840's Nicanor Kendall, Windsor VT - Underhammer Percussion Rifle

t offer is a Rare NICANOR KENDALL New England Style Underhammer Percussion Rifle. The 30 1/2" barrel is approximately .45-48 caliber and retains very little rifling. The action works well and it is all matching including the rear sight. The barrel is marked "N. Kendall - Windsor, VT - Patent" and the stock lug is correctly marked with his partner's stamp "Smith's Improved Patent Stud Lock". There is a brass patch box and what I assume to be a cap box on the underside of the butt plate.
