Pair Of C.A.Fischer & Sohn Antique Dueling Pistols In Presentation Case

Here we present an antique matched pair

These pistols were made by hand by a master of his craft C.A.Fischer & Sohn. Each part is hand-fitted for very tight tolerances. The lock, hammer, breech of the barrel, barrel tang, pommel cap, and trigger guard of each gun are all finely engraved. The Barrels Have a double gold band and are marked #1 and #2.They Have Gold Initials which I believe are E.G.C. The trigger guards each have a hook on the bottom for a middle finger rest for more stability. The barrels are octagonal and heavy, though this feature helps achieve a very nice balance. The Barrels measure 8-¼"s . The bore is a .40 caliber with large groove rifling. The Case Measures 22' x 10-½" x 2-¾".Bluing is at least 95%.

Overall condition is fine. The twist pattern on the barrels is very good. The engraving is sharp and clear. The stocks show some handling and cracks but are solid. Bores are sharp and clean. The actions are excellent half cock and full cock engage tight.
