Here is an affordable example of an original Colt 1862 Police/Pocket Navy revolver. This example was built specifically as a cartridge revolver not a converted cap & ball (likely around the late 1870's). The overall condition is good for an antique. The action functions. The barrel measures 3 ½" and the bore looks good for an antique with strong rifling along with some typical frost. The serial numbers are matching including the cylinder which looks to have been lightly cleaned. The right grip has a chip missing but is likely original.
