Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a rectangular notch sight dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: Wood with steel locking plate, hammer, and fittings, and barrel wedge key. The bottom has a cutout for the included ramrod and one rod pipe. The stock rates in Good condition.
Type of Finish: Browned, case color
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright with sharp rifling. There is a good amount of fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8.5/10 for a black powder pistol.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 90% of its finish. There is some finish loss at the muzzle and leading edges. The case color has wear and thinning. The screw heads are lightly tooled. The markings are clear. The mechanics are excellent. There is some corrosion on the brass tip of the ramrod.
Mechanics: The hammer locks. The trigger is crisp. The action functions correctly.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: There is a ramrod included with the pistol which is secured in the forend, leather holster.
