Antique 20 gauge, 62 cal. smooth bore double barreled Howdah pistol with 6 1/2" round barrels. The wood stock is in good condition although, there are dents, dings and old repairs, but the stock is solid as a rock. It has a brass butt cap and a steel trigger guard (see photos). The barrels have a good bore and a steel ram rod. The iron metal finish has an aged mottled grey patina (see photos).
The unmarked, locks function perfectly (including half cock) and have strong hammer springs. At the sale they said they had no history about this guns ownership and it is difficult to date the lock or tell the guns manufacture but everything on the gun appears to be original and period correct. The bores are clear and everything functions as it should.
