Heavy Barrel 36 cal. (1 1/4" across flats) Antique Target Rifle

This is a very nice half stock very heavy barrel target rifle 36 caliber Percussion. The wood is very nice and is very dark and has aged to a uniform color with no chips, cracks or major dents or dings. Brass trigger guard, crescent butt plate and wedge pin escusions. The barrel and backaction lock finish is a plumb brown patina with some oxidation.
The gun is 56" over all length with a unmarked, 40" octagon heavy target barrel 1 1/4" across the flats(What I can see of the bore looks good....I have not cleaned this gun). There is a windage and elevation adjustable, rear sight and a front blade sight as well as having mounted target blocks front and rear.
The trigger and lock function as they should; although the lock will not cock unless you set the trigger first. The triggers are highly adjustable and are crisp .
The butt plate and trigger guard are inlayed and nicely fitted.
This is a very well made target rifle, made with quality components and weighs 18 1/2 pounds. This rifle has a good nipple and with a little freshening up would be ready for the target range.
