German/Possibly American Fowler made circa 1765. Converted to Percussion. Absolutely as found. 38 1/2" barrel. 54 1/2" overall.
Wonderful relief carving at cheek piece. No names or proof marks that I can see but I have not taken the barrel or lock off . Also, the brass furniture doesn't look German to me but looks American. I'd date it as circa 1765. Was originally made as flintlock but was converted to percussion during its long period of use.
