This is a beautiful Antique German Single Shot Rifle Zimmerstutzen muzzle loading Parlor Rifle. Beautiful straight grained walnut stock with a right hand cheek piece and wood trigger guard carved in the the Bavarian Black Forest tradition. "E. TRIEBEL IN AUGSBERG" marked on top of barrel. The Triebel family were gun makers as far back a 1660 and were located in Augsberg German (30 miles from Munich). These rifles were made as muzzle loaders until the advent of rim fire cartridges. This rifle is equipped with a percussion nipple and is designed to shoot appox. a 4mm round ball. The adjustable double set triggers has a very light touch. Octagon barrel with a mottled grey patina finish. The stock is fitted with a shutzen style butt plate and right hand cheek well. The receiver and metal fixtures are all engraved.
The iron sights are supplemented with a Lollipop style peep sight. The stock is checkered and carved in the Bavarian Black Forest style and although it does have some dents, dings and light scratches is is solid with no cracks or chips. I have carefully looked over this rifle and overall it is in excellent condition (I have not cleaned or taken this gun apart). This gun is a beautiful piece of history; therefore, I am offering this rifle with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
