German Mauser Model 71/84 Bolt Action Rifle 11mm

Up for sale is a used antique German Mauser Model 71/84 bolt action rifle chambered in 11mm Mauser. Barrel measures 31 1/2" in length with a moderately bright, frosted bore with scattered pitting and ring in the bore near the muzzle. Barrel and barrel bands retain most of a dull reblued finish over some scattered pitting along with newer scattered scratches, dings and high edge wear while the receier and bolt are toning gray with scattered pits and staining while the bottom metal is toning gray with strong areas of added gold paint with similar pitting and staining. Reproduction stock shows scattered scratches, dings and handling marks with several long cracks behind the nosecap and added stock cartouches. Rifle is sighted with a blade front and graduated rear ladder. Magazine tube spring, follower and cartridge lifter spring are not present but the cartridge lifter is. Included with the rifle is a cleaning rod and leather sling along with a Certificate of Authenticity from Gibbs Rifle Co indicating the rifle was used in the movie "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise although it does not call out the rifle specifically by serial it has all the same features indicating in the COA.
