THIS IS A ANTIQUE FIREARM AND WILL SHIP TO YOUR DOOR! This ad is for one used in great condition for its age Extremley rare French model 1890 Currasier carbine. This gun comes as seen with all matching numbers, stock left side is hard to see and numbers are not visible anymore. At one point the receiver had its markings grounded off as well. This gun retains a fair amount if it's factoryblue finish with some areas turning to patina. Rifles barrel length is 20 inches with a very nice bore with sharp lands and grooves. Walnut stock shows handling marks and wear through out however stock is solid, and shows no signs of cracks or gouges. Action works beautifully and cycles with ease. Carbine comes with the original sling. These guns were made in 1891 for the french heavy calvary and havr there unique combless stocks, and leather buttplates. Only 20,000 were made and most were destoryed or repurposed into the 1892 or M16 berthier specs as the great war progressed. This exact gun used to be Ian Mccollum from forgotten weapons. This is a very rare and extremely rare currasier carbine with only about 2 dozen known in the world,that would make a excellent addition to ones WW1 collection and having one surface might not happen for a very long time.
