This rifle was made after the Evans Company went out of business. The parts/equipment were sold & the new owners used the left over parts to build the ones marked “Evans Sporting Rifle” as seen on the barrel just in front of the rear sight. The forearm was also changed from being held on with a barrel band to being held on with a screw. How many were made is unknown, also none had a serial number. This gun appears to be in good shape & complete including the four sided cartridge holder in the stock used to move the shells up to the chamber. The bore looks decent. These were made about in 1879-1880. As a antique it can be shipped direct to you
