In excellent general condition. 26 inch octagonal barrel. 40-82 WCF caliber. Serial number 628xx. 1891 manufactured. Fine to excellent metal with barrel and magazine retaining a large amount of the original finish with excellent barrel markings. One spot of oxidation on barrel’s top where the gun has most likely been “sitting” on a rack for a long time. Frame retaining some case colors over a nice period engraved scene.
Excellent action. Excellent deluxe grade checkered and varnished stocks. Very good bore with very good rifling. A truly beautiful antique Winchester rifle!
