The gun is 54" over all length and the heavy 38" octagon barrel is 1 1/8 inch across the flats (see photos). What I can see of the bore looks dark; although, there are very deep riflings visible at the muzzle.
The ram rod appears original to the rifle. There is a adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight and a blade front sight. The trigger and lock function as they should.
The lock functions as it should, the bore is clear and the trigger is crisp.
