Colt Single Action Army, also known as Model P or M1873, with serial number 126676, manufactured in 1888. This first generation single-action revolver, with a barrel length of 4.75 inches, features minimal markings, including matching serial numbers "126676" on the grip, trigger guard, and frame. Additionally, the left-hand side of the frame is marked "PAT. SEPT.19. 1871 // JULY. 2-72 // JAN. 19-75." No other markings are visible.
The bore is dark with shallow pitting, but strong rifling remains. The sights consist of a blade-style front sight with a rear notch in the frame. The revolver is fitted with aftermarket, well-made smooth wood grips, displaying a beautiful wood pattern with minor scratches and a very small chip on the left-hand panel toe.
The finish is in-the-white, with no bluing remaining. Overall, the revolver is solid mechanically. The action locks up tightly and cycles correctly. The caliber is unknown, but the bore diameter measures approximately .455 inches. There are no barrel markings, and the trigger and hammer appear to have been replaced at some point.
