This revolver is an 1878 Frontier model with bird’s head grip frame and a 4” barrel chambered in .45 Colt. It has had its original finish polished off and then it was elaborately scroll engraved. The screws and other small parts were given a Fire Blue finish, and the grips were replaced with faux ivory. This is a really nice-looking revolver, so please see our pictures. The revolver is in about Very Good condition with very little play in the cylinder lockup. The action works correctly and the bore is still shootable. Unfortunately, the cylinder is not serialized to the frame. All of these old Colts are collectable, and this one would make a good start for someone just starting their collection.
